March Meeting Date Set

We'll be meeting on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17th at 3PM at Blue Umbrella Books. Susan will read an Irish story she wrote. Our pep talk and discussion will be on How Do You Create? We'll also talk about writing and how other hobbies we have can be linked...for instance, I collect mohair teddy bears and once co-authored an article with a friend/pen pal in NM on how we united efforts in different time zones to win an antique Steiff bear that had been promised to her by a relative, but the relative did not leave a will, so many of her belongings ended up at an auction house and the bear went up for sale on ebay. I also collect antique and vintage clothing buttons. I was editor of the Massachusetts State Button Society Bulletin for 10 years and contributed many articles for the publication. I also have a charmstring museum online in another blog. I'll also have an update on the upcoming Articulture2018 event that will be held on April 21st. All authors who will be at the event are WhipCity Wordsmiths. We are a productive and talented  group of local Western MA authors/writers. The exposure we'll receive at the event will help make the community more aware of us and our work (over 130 books published among us!) We have two poetry readers from the group, and 2 or 3 story readers who are also Wordsmiths. With the camaraderie and support among members demonstrated at the past two meetings we should all have a fun, exciting and (fingers crossed) profitable day! See you in March!
